What a small kitchen remodel costs
| Job | Typical price | What moves the price |
|---|---|---|
| Respray, small kitchen (up to 10 doors) | €700 to €1,995 | About a day on site. The number of doors and drawer fronts sets the price. |
| New doors, drawer fronts and worktop on your units | €1,350 to €4,000 | The door count, and laminate against stone for the worktop. |
| Small kitchen: galley or compact L-shape | €5,000 to €12,000 | New units, same layout, laminate or quartz. |
| Mid-range apartment kitchen | €8,000 to €15,000 | Single-wall or galley, often with a stone top coming up the stairs or lift. |
| Most small kitchens, fitted, VAT included | From €12,000 | A new small kitchen, measured and made for the room. |
Where a small kitchen saves
- Fewer units, so the cabinets cost less. The worktop is shorter too, so stone becomes affordable.
- Keep the sink where it is: moving it in a small room rarely gains anything.
- Laminate doors over sprayed lacquer took over €2,500 off one small kitchen.
Where it doesn't
Fitting a small kitchen takes almost as long as a big one: the sink, the hob, the oven and the extractor all go in the same way. Fitting is the part of the price that shrinks least.
